  36. No, Microsoft did actualy write software for the amiga long ago. They wrote
  37. "amigaBasic", but made such a pig's ear of it it's unbeliveable. What we
  38. had was basically all the stupid msdos/pc limitations translated over and
  39. faithfully reproduced on the amiga! We had array size limutations (the same
  40. ones as on the pc); hardware banging; particularly stupid file requestors..
  41. There is a fair list. It was also very slow, and did not come with a
  42. compiler.

  44. So, no - microsoft brought there own disgrace upon themselves. They showed
  45. there incompetence to all, and further compounded the problem by
  46. demonstrating the same idiocy even on the pc.

  48. Why is it that os/2 is a better os for the pc than win95 in most every way
  49. (except application support) ? It runs on the same hardware, yet multitasks
  50. better, handles ram better, is faster, and even runs windows programs
  51. faster than windows ? [I have been told by PC mates].

  53. Reading a bit about microslop, how they started, how they do bussiness,
  54. etc, will convince you like it did me. Read 'Accidental Empires' (book;
  55. forget the author name. I'll Find out if your real keen). This is a very
  56. interesting book on the computer industry.. Lets out a few things old billy
  57. hopes people have forgotten, too..

  59. Microsofts programmers seem unable to write software for the amiga, and
  60. seem to be pretty casual about writing it for the pc too.

  62. Microsoft has an interest in control, and in keeping things the way they
  63. are. There is money in them thar windows 'upgrades'!

  65. Things like hidden files containing the names of all your software, which
  66. is sent to microslopp when you connect to MSN, and the disallowing of use
  67. of win95 by the military because of these trojen programs does not lend
  68. them goodwill from all men...

  75. computer industry than the average pc user - and not taken in by Billy's
  76. Billion Dollar Bullshit :-)
